NEW YORK -- Star of India, stating that her heart just wasn't in it anymore,
quit her column on September 21st. Star of India broke the news
via email to Jol, the editor of the feature. She enumerated her
reasons for quitting, including amongst them her desire to spare Jol
the incessant begging for her column which had come to dominate
all their recent conversations. Billed as a "love and sex" column when it first debuted last January, "Star of India" was last published in late winter after a long absence during which its author had nursed the wounds of a recent breakup. Nobly endeavoring to pick up the pieces after her long break, Star never got her groove back and stopped publishing her column for several months. The aborted feature will be removed from the site and disposed of directly. |
