...featuring the songs "Who Remembers Kathy Barra?," "Knitting Bee," "Diseases," "Samy,"
and "Bean (Is Just a Super Rodent)." |
|
Kathy Barra was a girl we all picked on when we were foolish little children.
"Who
Remembers Kathy
Barra?"
is a song about her, for her and for everyone who was in a similar situation.
"Knitting
Bee"
is a song about, well, knitting, and is inspired by and dedicated to the Church
of Craft.
"Diseases"
tells the story of a young man coming to terms with his ailments.
"Samy"
is the name of the man who owns the liquor store on 24th and Bryant, just around
the corner from
Cubby Control. "Bean (Is Just a Super Rodent)" is about a cat named Bean, who
is more than just a cat, she's a super rodent. You'll have to purchase the CD
or 10" vinyl record to hear
this tune as well as the interludes between the songs, which you can do online
at
Parasol,
or by sending $7.50 to Cubby Control, 1172 Florida St. San Francisco, CA,94110.
Or, if you live
in the Bay Area, you can purchase the
CD or 10" vinyl record at Amoeba
Music (Berkeley and SF) and
Aquarius (SF).
You can also download the entire album at the iTunes Music Store.
This EP was our first collaboration with a label -- Rodent
Records.
