The fourth and final Embryo, "Embryo 4 Homemade Music by Bay Area Musicians" is the penultimate prize, the culmination of the compilations, the most enigmatic Embryo. Featuring new songs by long-time Embryo-ites and newcomers alike, Embryo 4 is sure to please, wow, shock, offend and even bore the listener with the end result being sudden satori, evil enlightenment, or, perhaps, perfect perception. Have a listen, take a piece, try it a little, and hear what Bay Area artists are doing in their spare time, in their homemade studios, creating self-styled music, with their minds tuned to God.

Recorded, mixed, and mastered over the last two years "After the Deprogramming," available in CD format, represents a mixture of old and new. Two of the songs, "Bonemaker's Theme" and "Night Comfort Theater" were written when Jol was still in the band. A few more -- "There's Always Now," "Wallet," and "Age of Smoke" -- were written after Jol left, but not before Karl had left. And the rest were written by the current Cubby Creatures, Bill, Brian, Emily, and Jason, and are indicative of a new direction and a new Cubby sound. As a result, the album is a mixture of old and new, and covers a spectrum of styles -- just the way the Cubbies like it.

A Cubby EP, available on CD or vinyl -- ten inches of it. Who Remembers Kathy Barra is a song about a girl who was taunted by her school mates when they find out her name sounds like the name of the largest rodent in the world. The EP is our first collaboration with a label -- Rodent Records.

Abandoned photos can be beautiful works of art that only a few may be lucky enough to stumble upon and appreciate -- unless you gather them together and put them on display for others to see. Embryo Compilation:03. If a musician or artist makes their own music but only ever hears it themselves through their headphones in their room, does the music really exist? Embryo Compilation:03.

Here's your chance to "make your own song," literally. Okay, well, we've already written the song, but if you want, you can write the lyrics and then come on the stage and sing them the next time we play it live. Not good enough for you? Well, how about taking the WAV files and making your own mix? Just e-mail us your address and we'll send you a CD of the WAV files. Have a listen to some of the mixes others have made...

The first self-released Cubby recording ever, this soon-to-be-classic yuletide, favorite is no longer available. But some very cubby rumors seem to indicate that the sensational seasonal sing-along "I like Christmastime" will be available for download each December. And you won't want to miss it, because on the catchy creation are some very special appearances by the Cubby Children's Christmas choir, Evil Santa, and the amazing operatic Iris.

Satanic vibes and goat's head soup on a rainy night--almost as much fun as finding out that the love child in your womb was conceived by the Evil One himself. The Satanic Embryo 4-track Adventure included the first two cubby recordings ever! It is therefore considered by some an historic document. Unfortunately no one knows if there are any left in existence. The Cubbies gave all their copies away, and it was a very limited release. The song that is available here that originally appeared on the Satanic Embryo 4-track Adventure was pulled from the master-tapes archive at Cubby Control. (MP3 coming soon)
