The Cubby National Convention On the night of August 24, 2000, at the Paradise Lounge in San Francisco the Cubby Creatures and friends staged the Cubby National Convention, an extravagant gala at which their candidate for the 2000 presidential election, Ronald Bonemaker, accepted the nomination live via satellite. Though Bonemaker was unable to attend the convention, conventioneers were able to view Bonemaker accept the nomination for presidency as his image was projected onto screen above the Cubby Creatures' stage. Suzie Potsniff, who was chosen by Bonemaker to be his running mate on the Cubby ticket, was able to make the convention and presented a speech of her own. Along with lavish decorations, performances by the Cubby Creatures, Go Go Galaxion, and The Andy Peters Show, and special guest appearances by Johnny Fresh and Andren White, the night was one to remember.
